Nov. 18 - Everclear interview and Northwest music

Today I played songs from the Pacific Northwest music scenes (Seattle, Portland and Seattle) since Everclear (Portland, OR) is coming to AU Nov. 20.

Berlin Wall Show - November 11 Show

I did a show commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall with songs about the actual wall, Cold War-era songs about nuclear destruction and modern and classic rock songs dealing with protest.

November 4 Show - Polarized songs

For my last show, I attempted to put together a compilation of songs with upbeat/singable/rocking music and lyrics that did not match the music's mood.

10/28/09 - Halloween and New Music Night on Tom's Show

Today I played 1 hours 15 minutes of Halloween-esque music. Thank you to the callers. I always am happy to know there are in fact other people on the other end of my seat in the studio.

Playlist for October 7

I did a second covers songs show this week. Here is the playlist:

1. Comfortably Numb / Dar Williams
2. knives out / The Flaming Lips
3. Disturbia / The Cab
4. Seven Nation Army / Audioslave

An awesome cover show tonight

Tonight I played two hours of cover songs...with Jimmy Eat World's "The Authority Song" attached at the end since it's more or less a tribute to John Cougar's great song.

Songs played on September 16 show

Here's what I played in order:

Interpol/Roland
Muse/Plug in Baby
Muse/Uprising
Depeche Mode/Personal Jesus
David Bowie/The Man Who Sold the World
Sonic Youth/Superstar

Getting ready for the semester

I have been busy this summer working with our adviser, a former Hornell 105.3 FM General Manager and one of their former engineers to get WALF in tip-top working and FCC-compliant shape.
