I did a show commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall with songs about the actual wall, Cold War-era songs about nuclear destruction and modern and classic rock songs dealing with protest.
For my last show, I attempted to put together a compilation of songs with upbeat/singable/rocking music and lyrics that did not match the music's mood.
Today I played 1 hours 15 minutes of Halloween-esque music. Thank you to the callers. I always am happy to know there are in fact other people on the other end of my seat in the studio.
Tonight I played two hours of cover songs...with Jimmy Eat World's "The Authority Song" attached at the end since it's more or less a tribute to John Cougar's great song.
I have been busy this summer working with our adviser, a former Hornell 105.3 FM General Manager and one of their former engineers to get WALF in tip-top working and FCC-compliant shape.
